Christmas is around the corner and we find ourselves reflecting back on yet another year that has passed. We have come across a number of posts on social media groups where moms have been feeling overly guilty about not being in the best financial position to give their kids the Christmas gifts that they wanted or asked for. The expectation of receiving the latest fads have become increasingly bigger as each Christmas comes and goes.
How about we start doing things a little differently next year. How about creating a new Christmas tradition with your little blessings that really focuses on giving instead of receiving. Take a trip to your local animal shelter and spend some time with the animals who are not fortunate enough to have a family. Better yet, adopt a little furry who will become your child's best friend. The kind of friend who will always listen and comfort them when they need it most.
As moms, all that we can pray for, everyday, are kids that will grow into kind human beings. The kind of kids who will teach other kids that being different is the norm. After all, it's the square-peg-in-a-round-hole warriors who are going to change the world and we hope our little HICH-er is one of them.
Wishing our Christian families a very Merry Christmas!
